I have a thinkpad fitted into my van with a 4GB drive for MP3 files and also a GPS system running with Autoroute 2000. It is connected to my stereo with a cassette adaptor and gives me oodles of music with few repeats. I also have a VGA to NTSC converter driving a 5.7" display and remote keyboard to administer the system ans select routes etc. Works like a charm, MP3 music and navigation from an old £250 laptop.
