there are replicas of older digital computers such as the Colossus(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossus_computer), but they are not the original. The Harwell Computer is all of the original equipment....
just FYI, the BeagleBoard uses an OMAP derivative, not an actual OMAP. The DM335x series is based on the OMAP but is not considered an OMAP. the PandaBoard however is based on the OMAP44xx series....
my company is slowly moving our *nix based accounting system to linux. our accounting system is very flexible, however we specialize in account for hardware stores, lumber yards, and construction. although our software runs well under linux we have met considerable resistance from our customer base. we often get customers who would prefer paying for SCO Openserver than use a "free os", after all "how good could it be if it is free". we hope as more of our customers begin to us linux for their mission critical accounting, they will realize that linux provides a robust platform for small to medium sized business. so far its been an uphill battle.
i totaly agree, i've already started calling my local republican hq about this issue. talk about a bad resume! you don't hire someone that is a known drug dealer to work in a pharmacy, why would you hire a person who has a proven record of failed security policies and place them in charge of the nations security policies?
i can't agree with you more about your evalution. i attended the show. it was difficult to contact any about registration,poorly planned and overall disappointing. if someone would like to do a linux show they should you the linux expo in raleigh,nc from 1999, that was a great show. great speechs, wide choice of great lectures, entertaining evenings, and wonderful exhibits. this show could have been great, but it seems to have been run by people who don't use linux and don't belong to the gnu community. just another person trying to make it big off linux!

in discussing democrats,republicans, and liberterians, one thing has been overlooked: the point of the original post is that al gore has tried to represent the technology community without ever being a part of this community! this is the overiding theme to the clinton/gore whitehouse. clinton/gore say they feel the frustration of parents with kids in public education, yet neither sent their kids to public school. clinton/gore tell the press they support the us forces yet neither have served. clinton says he supports sexual harassment laws, yet he continues to show he doesn't abide by them. i am not saying that person has to have something happen to them inorder to know how it feels, but it has become apparent that clinton/gore will latch upon any community that might gain them a single vote. i'll admit that i vote republician. i have meet and spoken with George W. Bush. he is not the type of man that would lie to you and tell you he knows something when he doesn't. i'd rather be told "i'm not sure what you are talking about but i can find out" than be told "o'h ya i understand and we'll make a fine law for you- be sure and vote for me"

i already have a yopy with exported displays from x as well as a home brew pcmcia adapter in which i have a generic 802.11 network card.
