    If it was a hardware issue, it would happen on only one system or the other.

    You might run RAM diagnostics and if it does come up with some thing, you can patch the kernel with this.

    I'm also working under the assumption that you've checked out SUSE's web site for bug reports, and done other basic research before posting here.

    ...that get the attention. In Philadelphia, Pa, US last year they caught some guy that was abusing neighborhood children as young as 6 for about 20 years. And yes, I'm sure you'll find pics of girls that young in the porn news groups. That's the stuff that bothers me.

    Young teenagers may at least have enough world experence to be able to deal with the abuse to some degree.

    ...and consentual sex by two 16 year old "kids" is a totally different kettel of fish.

    Actually, with the IT industry going the way it has been, this could mean that the good people would walk rather than stay out of a "misguided" sense of loyalty. I mean, I have a habit of not hanging around where I'm not wanted. The engineers would probably easily find new jobs.

    Also, this might be considered a badge of courage. At least new employeers would know you'd speak your mind.

    Actually, I though Solaris was boring. I found "Memoirs found in a Bathtub" much better. My hope is that the translation was poor. With some of the imagery he used, I wonder if he was influenced by Cordwainer Smith

    I think you're missing the point here. It's more the fact that you know what bugs are there. If you're worried about using a flaky OS, don't be a member of the first wave on these releases and watch the bug list to see how things go. At least RH has a public list. That's why it's called the "Bleeding Edge". I wouldn't DARE use a first release of M$ on a production box, at least not for a month till things shake out.

    Maybe we don't want you around any way. While I'm sure you expect flames, this is some of the more narrow type of thinking I expect from the hard core bible thumpers. This is the type of thinking that probably cause the Norse colonies on Greenland to fail while the indigenous native population. You probably think the earth is flat, too.     That may be, but why trash the US? We aren't more arrogant as a culture that other socioties, just more vocal. I've seen the Brits, France and Germany say the same kind of thing in the past. I think that ANY and ALL societies will put humanity, such as it is, at risk with this info. We tried to keep the atomic bomb info a secret, but it got out anyway. Maybe this time the US govt. is trying to beat spys to the punch and let EVERYONE have it? While I doubt it, screwer things have happened.

    IBM's LVM doesn't support true mirroring. Maybe I'm wrong and it's changed. But three years ago it didn't.

    Then why don't they try and cut a deal with Napster? This is a great oppertunity and it looks to me like they're going to throw it away. Yes, they should get paid for their work. But I think they're reacting like someone that owned a horse and wagon when the car started becomming popular. They aren't thinking about the potental here.

    Just one more reason to get out and vote in elections. I'm worried that most of the ppl complaining won't do anything about this. If you can't find someone to vote for, you can at least find someone to vote against.
