You're confusing a "god game", where you play as a god, with a "god-mode replay", where you can replay a small amount of play from an arbitrary perspective.
Yes, Populous was an early "god game", but certainly not the first one. Though I can't think of earlier examples.
I realize that there are a lot of uneducated computer users out there, but I kind of wonder if a "simple" worm such as this poses that much of a threat nowadays. (By "simple", I mean it requires a lot of work on the part of the recipient.)
Most computer users have been bombarded with messages about "don't click on attachments unless you're expecting them" and so on. Especially people in work environments.
I suspect this won't be as bad as similar worms in the past. I hope I'm right.

Sure, it's a Ziff-Davis site, but they give fairly good reviews, and aren't afraid to say a game sucks when it sucks. What is wrong with them?
That's the only site I have ever visited anyway! I never went to GameCenter, I never went to avault, I never went to Daily Radar.
At least my favorite site is still around. For now anyway.
