Matrix21: glad to see that someone else is heading down the path of AP stuffage, some things in the class are great since it does re-inforce a lot of basics which some people most for sure miss, but I wish they would focus a bit more on file i/o, they don't even discuss binary at all just ignore it entirely which doesn't make much sense to me. I took the AB Test last year as a junior, got a 5, test was a lot more difficult than the sample free responses i had seen but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle. Since i have effectively run out of things to do now im going to program a 3d engine by myself with a friend, hope that thing sees the light of day (got the design doc done, over 40 pages heh) im hoping to do linux / win32 at the same time but its a long shot as i doubt i could get linux on a machine at school that would be powerful enough to run what i would need it to. In the long run I have to agree, most people in my class didn't understand anything either and would just copy programs and surf napster all hour, altho it would be nice for some extra credit opprotunities
