I'm reading this book at the moment, its nice to read a book on the early days of the industry. I bought it from Borders (in the UK), just noticed it on the shelf when I was last in. Cost about £7.00.
This is just the latest in a string of stories that have come out recently about the lack of security with WAP. Anyone remember the stir that Timofonica caused a few months back? How bad is WAP as a protocol in terms of its provision for security?
Most people I know on my OO course had absolutely no experience with C++ at all, they were too concerned with learning the basics of the language to care what compiler/IDE they were using(VC++).
My university is much keener on MS products though, they only run Linux on the oldest machines, doesn't portray it in a particularly good light. As far as they're concerned its the MS way or the highway...
Give me Borland C++ Builder any day...
My laptop uses an AMD K6-2 400MHz CPU, I've never been impressed with its performance, and it seems to run very hot as well. Battery life is poor, so any improvement is welcome. Wish I'd gone for a Celeron instead now...

Wouldn't setting up 'boobie-trapped' files be a form of entrapment? Is this legal in the States?
