  1. The governments actually using lasers correctly? on NASA To Build Laser Space Broom For ISS · · Score: 1

This is something I thought I would never see. The government always wants to use lasers as weapons, but they aren't really designed for that. They are far too inefficient. Especially large lasers, where you lose over 99% of the power you put into the system. With this, even though they will still lose a huge amount of the power, it's not like they are trying to blow up a missile, so this has a good chance of working.

  2. This will be interesting to see. on First Direct Evidence Of Tau Neutrino · · Score: 3

I hope that the particle does have a decent mass. First off, it will help us decipher exactly how much dark matter is out there. Secondly, it will help us figure out if the universe is either going to expand forever, expand to a point, or eventually contract down upon itself. The more mass these neutrinos have, the more likely it is that the universe is a never ending series of Big Bangs and Big Crunches.

  3. Microsoft can't play nice enough to do that. on The X-Box: An Emulator's Dream Platform? · · Score: 1

Sure, Microsoft could do some great things with the X-Box, and it could be a great console. The only problem is they don't get along well enough with others to get enough good games. I'll stick with Sony and quality game makers like Square and Electronic Arts, thank you very much.

  4. Re:Jar-Jar is Integral to the Story on Star Wars Episode 2 Starts Shooting · · Score: 1

I can't stand Jar Jar Binks, but I do see a reason for his existence. Jar Jar is completely innocent. His actions show that he really doesn't have many cares, he acts without thinking. Anakin is still going to turn to the dark side, and what better way is there than killing off the most innocent character in the Star Wars universe?

  5. Re:Is it legal to use Social Security numbers? on When Background Checks Go Wrong... · · Score: 1

My card mentions nothing about not being for identification. I don't see why it can't be used as a second form of ID, along with a driver's license or a passport.

  6. Finally! on Engineers Build Satellite Jammer · · Score: 1

Yes! It finally happened. Whenever I travel with a GPS device, I always think, "Even though this device tracks me, no one should be able to." I can now travel in peace. "Watch out! They might start launching cows at us" --Buck Martinez
