  1. Yes, but...can it power my personal computer on Wave Driven Generators · · Score: 2

Does this include toilet waves? My toilet overflows a lot, so perhaps I could hook up my personal computer to my toilet? I think Sisco should get right on this.

  2. but what is Music Piracy... on Revenge Of The MP3 Quickies! · · Score: 1

Sometimes I get a little confused in all of the Napster vs RIAA wars. It seems that sometimes they are confusing a lot of what people actually think about the whole situation. I for one am a strong believer that Napster, although maybe not created for all the right reasons has had a very positive effect on music in general. People who never would have listened to different types of music are listening now because they download MP3's which cost nothing and give it a whirl. Yes, this is most likely exactly the definition of music Piracy, but maybe we should change this definition and besides...I thought it was all about the Music man...(Metallica).

  3. Yes, but can I see through women's clothing... on Adaptive Optics May Enable Super-Human Vision · · Score: 1

I think I'm going to have to hold out until they develop the X-ray eyes laser surgery. Just call me old-fashioned.

  4. SimCopter on Easter Eggs in Open Source? · · Score: 1

I don't know how many of you ever heard about the Easter Egg from SimCopter where at the end of the game if you look in the background you see the pilot and someone else (passenger/civilian?) get it on. The funniest thing is that they are both guys...naturally Maxis was not to pleased with this Easter Egg and fired the guy. It's just a bunch of kissing with groping, although really funny as it's all in those Simtype game graphics.

  5. smells fishy to me on Identification By Typing · · Score: 1

since everyone has already decided that this typing pattern recognition thing is just not going to work, has anyone looked at the possibility that maybe it's just an excuse to develop applications to memorize your keystrokes. For example what if this is all just an attempt to make a type of cookie mainstream, which just sits there and eats up all of your keystrokes in the name of copyrights and then conveniently sends it all back to the creator of the cookie...just a thought anyways.

  6. Somehow it seems so timed on Black Holes' Growth Measured · · Score: 1

Is it just me or does it seem like we are being fed information when NASA deems fit. I am not a conspiracy theorist in any means, although it does seem odd that regularily we are given information that perhaps I just have a feeling was found out a while back. Until Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking many people were kept well out of the loop as to what we knew about Science and Space and now it seems more and more likely that someone is censoring just how much we can know about what is found. I'm not talking about alien lifeforms and habitable planets, but more along the lines of just basic space theories and proofs. Why do we have to wait so long for so little information. I just doesn't make any sense to me...
