It's part of the protocol. All data is end to end encrypted. Furthermore, if the worm was setup to use SSKs (signed subspace keys), it would be near imposible to forge them. If we wanted to build a system to block the keys from being retreived, we would be inviting others to use that system on blocking other undesirable content. It is not in the freenet project's interest to do such a thing.

Glass is not a almost solid fluid at all. It stays in place like any good solid. The original research into it was flawed and retracted some 8 years (I think) later after a NEW study came out that said just as many windows were thicker at the top than at the bottom.

The thickness difference was caused by the way the glass was originally spun. The process was refined as years went by until they had almost square windows.

As such, it won't deform in space unless some heavy particles hit it, but if it is protected well, bigger objects have a much better chance of destroying it.

It looks like he's getting the entire heatsink as close to the board as possible, so he sands out holes for everything he needs and gets it closer in.

He's probably STILL using thermal conducting grease, but that isn't as important as getting a good connection in the first place.

If the webpads are released first, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The pics I've seen make them out to be pretty big (although they could always be people with really small hands :) with a fairly high resolution.

All we can though do is wait and see.

  9. Bootable CD on New Red Hat Beta Available · · Score: 1

Do you think RedHat may make the CD bootable again for general ease of use? Not needing a bootdisk and just having a disk image conforming to RockRidge on the CD would make the install much easier for those times when the linux setup has just been royally messed up and the only way to salvage anything is a format.

Why did they make the CD's no longer bootable anyway?
