You should know better... have a look at the YASS section of slashcode.com (Yet Another Slash Site) and try to find a unique looking site... quite difficult (but not impossible, I agree).
I really like the work this guy (just click through the core styles to select the different CSS stylesheets) has done for Slash in CSS/XHTML.
PS: I'm running the German Slash Site Symlink.
v4l has supported multiple video sources for years, as do all webcam programs. Just access the different cameras on/dev/videoX.
Just to be sure if a specific driver is multi-device capable ask the developer if it's not specified on the website.
I suggest you go find the cheapest three webcams, look them up in the USB devices database if they work with Linux, and then use motion to get the images.
My company blocks IE at the proxy (and doesn't allow direct connections not using the proxy of course).
As for upgrading Netscape 7, Mozilla or Opera: you really don't have a software distribution system installed? How do you update other software? How many clients?
Panasonic still makes a laptop with trackball, the Panasonic A3. I quote: "The Pansonic A3 has been introduced to replace the Panasonic B5. Its appeal is to people who have always remained partial to a trackball pointing device. (To that end, a set of five different colored trackballs is included with the package.) Although there is nothing wildly exciting about the A3, it is a product of Panasonic Japan. And like all notebooks from Panasonic Japan, quality is impeccable."
Right, if it's hundreds of CDs with exactly the same content you should let someone else do it.
If it's just in the tens buy a goddam burn station. If your work is mission critical they'll have the money to buy a station, complete with warranty and support. If it's not, well then go ahead and build your own from parts, although I guess it's gonna cost as much as buying one - don't forget to count the many hours you need to put the things together, write the software, etc.

For example the PCM-9572 with a low power Celeron 500 (no fan), 8MB video mem (3D!) and up to 256MB RAM. Costs about US$ 1k together with a MicroBox chassis (MBPC-300-9572F) and the matching external 50W power supply (PS-55A).
Just be sure that the mainboard's BIOS supports booting w/out a connected monitor. Then install your Linux or any other Unix using some old card from another PC and remove the card when you're done.
Make sure that sshd is started upon boot. Don't forget to remove the keyboard too... you might still control the system through a joystick and a daemon which lets you shutdown or reboot the system with it;-)

Now it's time to think that over.
Konqueror btw gets the favicon everytime too, and it even shows it as it's window icon. Nice if your window manager supports that.
Don't bug them. If I'm in charge I just decide based on what I've seen in the docs and how he/she behaved during the interview.
Their calling shortly after an interview just disturbs me and doesn't help their position at all.
Ok, one thing to consider: if you are good and could have other interesting jobs, let them know so they can decide a bit faster.
Hell it doesn't even take a boycott to drop sales. I don't buy CDs without having listened to some of the songs, and w/out napster I can't listen to that many songs -> ergo I won't buy that many CDs
Markus
PS: Luckily/me is a happy GNUtella user, never tried napster:)
PPS: I guess you're right that a boycott won't be a big success because most ppl are too concerned about now and not about tomorrow...
hey, there are enough ppl still listening to there mums... just tell 'em it's there mum controlling there mail program and they'll stop sending flames.
Honestly I think this is a useless feat for most of us since "I flame therefore I am"[1]
The german computer magazine c't has a fair comparison online at http://www.ct.heise.de/ct/00/17/090/.
They compare the different aspects like Multimedia, Network and Home PC, and depending on what they find important come to different conclusions...

With IceWM you get a full featured Window Manager with many bells and whistles but low memory footprint and very fast.

It went through all files and printed a nice graphical output (with gd?) with all functions in bubbles with connections all over.
Should be possible to modify for C++.
