My mom lost her mom when she was ten. One of the things that I am sad about, is the fact that she knows very little about her family such as, where they came from and who her relatives are/were. I have always wished I could have known more about her mom's family history. Perhaps you could ask her to recount her families history and record it as you see fit. On a further note, perhaps you could ask her to talk about her wishes and hopes for your children.
