It is amazing how much energy is transmitted to the patient--either negative or positive. The doctors will give you a bleak outlook, but they have to to CTA (cover their asses). Educate yourself, read everything you can--the Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Stroke of Insight and anything else possible. I agree that bringing the baby in for brief (10 min or less) visitations should help as long as the baby is not fussy.
