It's nobody's fault but unix/Linux. It has the same problems now that it did in the mid '90s. For one thing, although it has good ideas, there isn't enough singular direction. It will always be a small percentage of splintered users.
The formula is already known, and incredibly simple.
In any major key the most commonly used chord progression is as follows:
I, ii, iii, IV, V, vi, vii
Just insert that formula into the circle of fifths and you're done. The minor key formula just switches the majors, capital, and minors, lower case.
This is aimed at guys like me I think. I gave up on the idea of having one computer device in my home or on my person years ago. I build my own desktops but have a smart phone and a netbook. And I would love to have a great device to leave at my television. I'm all about digital content and couldn't care less about new dvd formats for movies. With the digital out now I am taking a second look at the mini.
I also love something that gets more than one use. I can also take something like the mini with me to work and connect it to a monitor and keyboard/mouse already in the studio.
