I've heard that Microsoft planned to move their company to Canada if the case should end with MS being split into two companies. Is there anybody who can confirm this rumor?
Even generator's won't save you from a power failure. I remember that just before the end of 99, we had a power outage in our main facility where we operate a large server room (S/390's and loads of Sun's and Intel's). The industrial-size UPS kicked in and it's batteries exploded seconds later, long before the generator was up and running. It took our crew almost 24 hours to bring the all systems back to production (which included replacing broken hardware in a S/390).
We were glad that nobody was near the UPS at that time...
