What I can't get over is that no one has caught that these aren't interns. Someone mentioned this, it's completely false, and everyone else jumped on the intern train. The two people who worked on this are full time employees of Microsoft.
I know this is Slashdot, but would it hurt to get the facts right once in a while?
Ouch, math skills bad... three percent would mean they would get $.97... but they also take another cut on small transactions, to ensure that they make money on every deal.
To read slashdot on a Palm without driving yourself nuts, you need something like this: http://www.fourteenminutes.com/code/avantslash/. There are several mirrors at the bottom of the page. Also great for folks who like to read slashdot via avantgo on their palms.
Unfortunately, the Rio Car (formerly empeg) has been EOL'ed by SonicBlue. It's a shame, since they rock. I got my when they went on sale as Sonic Blue started selling their leftovers, and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, they never sold well before the sale because of the extremely high prices ($1000+).
Hopefully, this one has a shot, it seems to be almost as cool of a product.
BTW, you can find some Rio Cars on ebay, but they are a bit overpriced compared to the SB sale prices. Worth every penny, though, in my book.
This is partially true. Some, like mine, have a 3COM mini-PCI combo NIC and modem - it's a winmodem as far as I've been able to tell. There doesn't seem to be a driver either. I wish I had the Lucent, but I just don't end up dialing up most places when I travel.
Other than that, Thinkpads are great. If you can deal with the eraser head mouse, than all is good.

That's right. You aren't charged $.30 at all... but LWN would only get $.70.
Paypal takes away the three percent from the person/business that receives the payment.
This is true. This is also not what the previous comment is saying. It is saying that he could have pushed down, not over...
All the previous comments about a more aerodynamic pose apply, too.
