8.4 inches really is too small. I worked on my little Sony Linux laptop 10.4 inches @ 1024*768 and it exaccerbated my already bad posture resulting in RSI:( It's getting better, but there are still times when i move my neck in certain positions, the feeling in an arm starts to fade...

Portability is a big issue, and it's nice to have a laptop smaller than a reference manual that you can stick in your backpack. However, I think if you want to use these for long term, you should get something BIG..

just my 2 cents...
AC asks: "Hi Slashdot. The U.S. government has ordered me to kill all the women and children of this village. I hear they are armed with biological weapons (poop on a sharp stick), and they must be eliminated to achieve global security and total economic domination of the Third World. They tell me that this is my duty, to serve Jehova and my country and keep the price of oil and RAM down.
Our planes are dusting us with something that tastes like coal and makes me feel like LSD-25. They say deserters are shot in the back of the head. My question to you is, what should I do?"
I was watching cable documentary, and they said that the AZTECS discovered zer0 long before Indians and Arabs. You might want to check into that. Ancient heiroglyphs are cool!

of self-expression is FASCIST. The whole point of going to school is to prepare students to enter society. We want students who boldly criticize problems they see, not students who cringe at the thought of repercussions.
It is true the private school has a legal right to take the actions they did, but the fact that they have such restrictive policy leads one to wonder about the value of an education at such a place.
Freedom of expression == Freedom of thought. The fact that you do not find repression of freedom of thought in young minds troubling is VERY troubling.
well if I had some mission-critical task, and money was not an issue, I'd use SUN. Not that Sun is better than linux, but when you buy a cluster of machines from Sun they are accountable for the performance.
When you set one up on your favorite distro of linux, you are accountable.
For me a bigger issue is the reusability of code written with one type of cluster in mind to another type of cluster. Anyone have any experience with this type of thing?
