I guess what I don't understand is exactly why someone would pay several hundred dollars for a hacked HU card to get all channels. Couldn't they just pay that money straight to DirecTV and get the service they're stealing? If you're not saving money by stealing, what's the point?
Must be a pride thing, I guess, the kids wanna think that they're beating the system by paying a lot more money to use cards instead of doing it legally. Which is fine. Just doesn't make a whole lot of rational sense to me.
Sarcasm, people. Seriously. Recognize. Laugh.
I just think it's pretty humorous that while other companies refer to their systems with model numbers and product line names like 'Vectra' and 'Proliant', Apple uses blue and white.
I KNOW there's no grape G3, I KNOW how they specify machine details. The fact that Apple has degenerated into describing their systems with pretty colors amuses me. I know it's definitely a different, possibly very efficient way of designating systems specs. Maybe it's perfectly Apple. Just seems very first grade.
/me backs off of the angry, bitter mac users.
My favorite quote, on the info about the test systems:
"G3/400: A revision 1 Blue and White G3 with a 400MHz G3, 256MB RAM, a 12GB HD, and a matching Blue and White 17" Apple Studio Display CRT."
I'm so relieved that John provided the vital information on what colors the systems were. I know the results would have been astoundingly different if he used the grape one.
/me rereads... So what do you want? A car that WORKS, or a car that gives you better mileage? Sure you can use your car that works, IE or Opera or Lynx or whatever. But if you want something better than what you're using now, then as he was saying, you have two options - do it yourself or let someone else do it for you. If you're not willing to do it yourself, then stop complaining and let the people who are do it. Period. You don't need to be a programmer to surf the web. But don't complain about the programmers that are, the guys who are making something better. That's just ignorant. His point was that if you're not willing to join in the project, don't criticize the guys that are.
It's the number of times I'd rather see Anaconda (everyone's favorite snake-bashing flick starring John Voigt, Jennifer Lopez and the interminable Ice Cube... also another of the worst movies ever made) than said movie.
maybe i'm just not up on internet celebrities... but why does this guy Joe get to add a top level domain? when was the last time a non-country-code based TLD was created? whatever happened to.web and.biz and all the other ones under consideration back in the day? has.god been on the list for a while? is there some sort of procedure for requesting the addition of new TLD's? why is this whole post just questions? ---
Not to mention that they're working on 2.2.20 still :)

... voices murmur, "What's the Anaconda scale?"
