That does not really fix the issue in that instance. Guns are not the problem in suicide it is the persons mental health. They can find another way to take their life. Don't get me wrong though it is very unfortunate that this happens.

This issue is control really when you think about it. If your gun is electronic than it is easier for me to disable it and control you. Even a small EMP could do the trick I reckon.

You are right that the game has a basic concept, but I think that can sometimes work in your favor. My brother and I love minecraft since it lets us use our imaginations, and that is in my opinion a good selling point for the game. Not only that, but is it cheap and the replay value is enormous.

I agree with you on this. They could just use newer stuff, but just keep if off the grid like they have with the current system. The only reason why it hasn't been hacked is for the simple fact that they let no one touch it. That has always been a good form of security when you think about it. If you don't want to get hacked do not connect it to anything, and definitely don’t let anyone touch it as well.

I wouldn't say that the security lies in obscurity. The real security lies in the fact that they do not let anyone without clearance near the nukes. Which can be a good form of security if done right.

I think a lot of people do not know what their options are. I don't know if it is like this everywhere, but when I was in school they pushed the "everyone needs to go to college" mentality that you speak of. Which of course has set up a lot of people for failure, and after that they just work a dead end job for the rest of their life. I agree with you in that we need to show kids these days that there are many different things that they can choose from.
