well its there but its off of the disk impression that it left with me is this is something ON TOP of the windowing system, fuck they didnt even bother to try and match the colors, so you in this baby vomit blue enviroment and BAM here is a full screen black window, click on something and its light blue again.
what are they trying to give me a seizure with the contrast flashing or are they really being that shitty on a release?
seems OK for a desktop and I will agree KDE has cleaned up quite a bit though its still a little awkward at times. The Mandriva default theme is all over the place, the defaults for the windows are light and bright, the panels are dark. The application launcher is fucking huge, as in entire screen huge, with icons the size of a coin. That is not welcome!
I will install it for real, just when I have some time to fart with the umpteen-thousand theme options, which is a tad disappointing for a "easy to use release". Default it not broken, its just ugly and jarring. The rest depends on their package manager and time.
I have similar experiences, but I am downloading it and giving it a spin on the ol VM just to look. I do not want to waste my time rebooting if something strikes me on first impressions
yes its microsoft's fault that some marketing douche playing IT guy thought the last 4 digits of the company's phone number would be a good password for remote access
or did you just read microsoft and miss out on the brute force password part?
but OMG that might be a 30 watt system, think of the electricity!
I run a 60 watt P3 pizza box compaq with a big ass drive, it plugs into the light socket in my closet hehe, so I have not had the privilege of sitting down and really messing with some of the bigger ARM chips. Most people make it out to be not that horrid, then again those same people might recompile their kernel just for fun so who knows
your lucky to even find drivers for Haiku, and how many 3D applications that you NEED to have running on a AGP1-2x or PCI card (which for the most part is what we are talking about here)
yes a 300 watt PC sitting idol most of its time uses more power than a 220 watt PC sitting idol most of its time
why run a PC for a home server? you can get a single chip arm system for half the cost of a cheap PC and its going to take care of your strenuous home needs no problem while drawing what 4 watts
heck even IF no one even heard of those companies before it would still work fine with generic drivers, this just cuts out 3d support, which as we all know is a major part of the linux desktop life, especially for pci machines
its only for 3d support, and I know damn well your p100 with a matrox card and linux is really going to miss out on all that hawt 1997 gaming action TB

Ubuntu already has
Ubuntu has never REQUIRED installing from windows
what, you cant mount squashfs, i will give you a hint, its not a zip file
you have to be retarded to not complete an install of debian, please let us know when you get a clue
VIrtual Box, which I have nothing but issues out of whenever I stick a copy of windows on it

no it doesn't, it shows 2 themes on the parent link, the dark them is what you see in your link

no one respectable has said that for decades
they are not taking wafers and stacking them up like a club sandwich, its all on a wafer with multiple planes
this is not really uncommon in the history of apple
will run on a pentium MMX and a voodoo2
will be sued the second they stick their heads out cause someone holds a patent of a fucking text entry box
a bit defensive aren't we? besides your OSX came from the same OSS cesspool

it still runs fine
