These are the guys who:

2. Invented the Atom Bomb (Robert Oppenheimer)
3. Invented Radar (Meredith Thring)
4. Discovered the structure of DNA (Crick & Watson)
5. Developed Rockets (Werner von Braun, Robert Goddard)

I could go on and on......

These are the people who made the world what it is today.
