I gave that a try and when I switch my useragent to "Googlebot/2.1 ( http://www.google.com/bot.html)" it gave me the page with the keywords in the title.
There are companies that have to research, document, code, document, test, document, release from development to production, document, etc...
A better description lies somewhere between "rewrite" and "five line patch". Proprietary or OSS will have bugs; this release cycle still has to be done if it is a "rewrite" or a "patch".
I would hope that any company that has a formal release cycle in place would have taken one look at this form of authentication and dismissed it just like most other ASP.NET programmers have.
When I first saw the web.config security I thought to myself, so what I'm still going to have to write a security system on top of this because it doesn't do jack.
I'm not worried about this with any of my sites. You may be able to get to a file in the admin section but you are still going to fail the test that runs inside the code. All the web.config did was stop you before it got to that check. I may program with microsoft tool but I don't trust them to do my security work for me.
Rolling back an Electric meter is something that has been around for a while. The term used is "Net Metering". Most electric meters on the back of your homes will run backwards if you flip them upside down. Most newer meters (Ones with Digital displays) will count up no matter witch way the juice is flowing as a tempering countermeasue. If you've got a deal with the Power Co. to do net metering they will install a special meter.
One thing for anyone that is interested in green power generation and selling it back to the grid is that someplaces (North Corolina I know for sure) do not allow for Net metering due to regulations. Although that is not sure a bad thing, you can have a dual meter setup, one measuring power in and the other power out. If you are generating the right type of green power you may be able to sell it at a higher price per KWH then you buy it.
Nope. Any files in your fonts directory or ie cache directory that aren't fonts or ie cache files _are not displayed anywhere_. You can't get to them with explorer. At all.
C:\WINNT\Fonts>copy con hello.txt Hey there! ^Z

C:\WINNT\Fonts>print hello.txt

Volume in drive C has no label.

Most of the time I like random, but I've had to remove most of my Pink Floyd albums from my random play list since it drives me nuts when a PF song comes on and it doesn't go to the next song on the album.
Pink Floyd now has it's own playlist and never gets shuffled.
Hopefully its just some software error will need a reboot to correct the problem.
Look what microsoft has done to us. Just because when the computer you have at home slows down or starts acting funny you reboot it and it work fine (for a while) doesn't mean that they way it should be.
Users have got to stop accepting this as a solution to a faulty computer system.
Sure that is true for a user who has gone though the minimal trouble of installing a pop-up blocker themselves.
If IE automaticly has the pop-up blocker installed and running a pop-up ad that add then is seen by your average user who is clueless that IE has blocked most of the pop-up and then the ad-baddies are getting their 0.01% of sales they need to stay in bussiness.
I just got one of the newer dells with the THX speakers, It really isn't anything special, It's better then my TV for watching DVD's but that's just because I have a 13 inch TV.
I've haven't gotten the Dolby Digital on the speakers to work right I end with just normal stereo or I hook it up to my reciever to get 5.1
Luckly I got this system for other reason or I'd be a little pissed
Network Soluation and the other register services are just clearing houses. There is no reason for this. The ICO has got to realize that the word Olympic is almost getting so popular that it can't be protected with such vigur.
I need an invite joe (at) pnc[one] dot com Thanks
