This type of study will help increase the quility of software design, giving developers better guidelines in the creation prosess. HCI is so important and probley the main thing that turns people off from a piece of software, but there are still a lot of programmers that ignor this fact. They figure that if it works well, it is wonderful, not true. I don't know how many butt ugly pieces of software that I have come across that I have installed then uninstalled after a couple of minites 'cause they were not wearth the bother.
I really don't care who does the research, as long as they don't hog the results to themselves.

I don't really think that there is any such thing as an impartial study of large corp factories in third world countries. Neither for nor against them. But I tend to personally not trust large multi-corps and there impartial studies.
Besides thats not really gets me about logos. You go into a store, pick up a white T with the "TOMMY HILFIGER" or the Nike swoosh on it. You probably paid 15 times what it cost them to make it 'cause it was produced in the third world, on top of that you paid all that money to end up looking like a billboard. Why in heavens name would you pay to advertise for somebody else. I just don't understand.

Anyway, Rob I really think that you should check out Goldenboy. It is a very funny series. The just of it is this maga smart guy who moves from job to job, always seems to piss off these woman he wants, in the end the woman fall for him just before he goes to the next job... Some of the funniest stuff that I've seen. Another great flick is Midnight Panther. This one is NOT FOR KIDS!!!...need I say more;)
