It's steve'd. Apple is a very media savvy company, and the login site was down before the slashdot mention. Still doesn't say much for their wonderful new server os though. You can't even get a login to see the source, the server is too bogged down. sheesh!
Damn! I was just about to submit that pentium/// only page! Well, I knew it couldn't be long. Of course they're not only going to put the universal-bar-code-for-your-forehead in all their processors, they're going to work with software developers to insure that you need it. That's just what we need, a quark installer that requires a psn. I'll stick with linuxPpc thank you.
I'm all for OSS. I hope it takes over the whole world. But are there really enough applications to make it feasible? People won't even buy macs because they think there's not enough software, and macs have a ton of software compared to linux/gnome. Other than applixware and personal internet stuff, what can you do with linux? (here come the flames....)

If this serial number scheme is still there. Why did the boycott stop? I know I'm not buying one. I'll stick with LinuxPPC.
