I have been arrested in SF for not having and ID in golden gate park. I guess I wasn't officialy arrested but I was put in handcuffs and taken to jail where they "officialy" identified me. The whole thing took nearly twenty hours. Police are the most fucked individuals I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. When I was mugged in Pan Handle Park a very nervous scared desparate poor young man was taking something from me. He at least was honest about his behavior. The DEA, FBI and police steal at will with impunity come into your home early in the morning and when they don't find what they were looking for they take your pot and bong and shit. Fuck the thieving pig police!!

I've never been convicted of a felony, yet I've been pulled over multiple times and searched & arrested for possesion of marijauna(a few times in really fucked up states like Nevada.) I even had the cops rip the upholstry to my car and not even apologize or pay for the damages. I've never been a fight in my life but if I was face to face in a bar with the cop who charged me with felony possession for a gram of herb I would try and beat the living shit out of him.
The truth is alcohol is much more harmful to society than heroine is. If heroine were legal most of the harm asociated with it now would disappear. A chronic alcoholic will die in no longer than ten years (from liver failure.) If heroine were pure and unadulturated it could be used quite safely. Yes you can overdose on alcohol. In fact it happens far more than heroine overdoses. The citys with the most tolerant stances on heroine use have the lowest per capita addiction rates and the lowest rates of underage users while the cities with the "toughest" policies (intolerance) have the highest rates of abuse and the highest rates of youth using. The harmful drug that my culture has choosen for enebriation is O.K. while the drugs other cultures have adopted for a head change are wrong. At the farmers market here people sell San Pedro(trichocereus pachanoi) (trichocereus peruvians) (salvia divinorum) (papaver somniferum) (rivea corymbosa)(ipoemia violacea)(phallaris illinoises) to name only a few. I notice nearly everywhere I walk plants that contain organic chemical compounds that are schedule one. I can't think of any city in america that doesn't have native plants that contain schedule one chemicals. Psilocybin containing mushrooms originally specific to a few small geographic locations only a couple of hundred years ago now proliferate in nearly all parts of the globe. Personally I think this means we should all eat mushrooms at least once a year.

Every analog cassette taper I ever met who was serious about collecting noted the gen of a tape from its original source(usually a dat). There are litteraly tens of thousands of deadheads with quality tape collections. Testimony to the fact that 1.4 million high quallity tapes could be disseminated in short order. A cassette recording of a master source sounds way better than 128 or 196 mp3. I would rate a 256 mp3 in the same category as a master or first gen tape. I haven't ever downloaded a 256mp3(only made em).

I am using a nearly twenty year old yamaha natural sound stereo reciever and my computer(nothing special). There is a physical & audible difference between cd wavs and even high quality mp3 copies. I collected analog cassete tapes of bands like Grateful Dead, Phish & MMW and even when these became available via mp3 my analog cassete tapes won out sounding audibly better than the 128mp3 commonly circulated. You can chant that there is practicaly no difference all you want,(you probably don't listen to or enjoy music very much) there is a practical audible diference. I would rather have an exact copy of a digital file than a compressed one. Any day. I am passionate about the music I listen to though.
