    I'd say that being a government employee should reduce your right to free speech while you're on the job, because (and this is true of most companies), while on the clock, the employees tend to be representing the company or government entity in question and any opinions they state can be taken as the opinions of that company or entity (regardless if those opinions actually reflect those of the company or entity). Off-clock however they should be able to say whatever they want.

    Bill Clinton WAS in fact impeached (which actually I didn't know myself until I looked it up just now), but was not convicted.

    On that vein I wonder what would happen if someone surgically implanted a bomb inside themselves, or swallowed it. X-rays for every single passenger? There's only so far they can go before it just becomes too ridiculous to fly anymore.

    Well personally I'd think because the Uni is government owned (or if not owned, then government supported) that it shouldn't be used as a soapbox. A university should promote all different perspectives on an issue and encourage intelligent debate.

    If this is supposed to be true then it would mean that it was everyone's business, including "conglomeration of tens-of-thousands of smug trust-fund liberals", to take stances, "liberal" or not, on any issue anyone sees fit, which includes wars and union organizing.

    The issue at hand is not that the "smug trust-fund liberals" are doing this, but rather that the university is doing this in an official way.

    This was my most favorite part of the series. Don't like a character? He's gonna die eventually, probably in a horrific bloody way. Though I guess even if you do like a character they tend to die anyway...

    Ice melting fast != humans at fault. Honestly, I've seen a lake go from "safe to walk on" to "no trace of ice" in a few days. I never once thought "Holy crap, some dude must have caused this!"

    That's what happens when someone pees in the lake.

    Not the major distros, no, but it's possible to create your own packages that are independent of the distro (for example, when I installed Chrome, I downloaded a package from google).

    This is definitely true. But Chrome's cache is hell for developers. I have yet to find a reliable way to turn it off.

    Well this should be technically possible-just make the package a dependency to whatever you want to attach it on to.

    Firefox has a reload button (at least the one I have installed). it's to the right of the address bar.

    I agree with this. Chrome used to crash my system (before I got it upgraded) because it took up so much memory. The whole "open every tab in its own process" is very inefficient.

    Not sure what you are talking about for scrolling. Do you mean standard scroll up and down? That works fine for me...

    My main gripe with Chrome is that there is NO WAY TO TURN OFF THE CACHE. I'm a web developer, and the cache drives me crazy.
