Al Qaeda has a custom encryption software

On: 'Motherlode' of Data Seized At Bin Laden Compound

I've heard about it because Brazilian Federal Police arrested an Al Qaeda member (or sympathizer) in Sao Paulo last year and has taken precautions to ensure that his computer was turned on at the moment of the arrest.
