I have never heard of any crime stopped, or the perpetrator caught via these. Just the old anecdotal, friends with cars broken into under cameras in parking lots or people mugged in areas with cameras in cities.
The actual effect is never mentioned. Does it reduce crime significantly? Is it all just security theatre? $3 billion on 'look how much we spent on making you safe!'

someone said "therapy N-Z does not work." ie alternative medicine. but if therapy O, S, R, X are known to work (eg peyote makes you see floating crystal elves) that throws a fair bit of doubt on the original statement.
Herbal medicine works, massage works, accupuncture works. Saying alternative medicine dosn't is just an idiotic statement in a similar vein to 'bumblebees can fly when fluid mechanics can't explain it therefor all science is crap.' (BTW I know FM has no problems now, but in the past it had no idea)

Go play BattleRealms. All other RTS just seem stupid and overly simplistic now. I was quite looking forward to Warlords Battlecry 2 and WarCraft3 but I fully expect all RTS for the near future to have been ruined for me by BattleRealms.
Tactics and combined arms not mere economy.
