I believe Microsoft will follow RAV's cross platform tradition. The products will be available on all major platforms including Windows 9X, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows CE.
Canopy Group is a major stockholder of SCO. I don't know how's the people in Canopy think. Other companies in Canopy's portfolio like Linux Networx and TrollTech are depend on Linux.
Now even newspapers are in color. Would people really want a black and white only system?
