I got a Motorola Droid in November 09. When its time for my upgrade I will probably get a WP7 device just to make apps with it.
Imagine, we don't need so many fucking ads. Period. The more you want things to be ad supported (how many users here use adblock though?) the more ads there will be, but the less effective they will be because its just another ad. This whole "information wants to be free" and "I shouldn't have to pay for anything" and "pirating is ok" mentality really does kill the top end of quality. It works in moderation (the FOSS movement) but if everything were to go that way it would collapse quite quickly as people began looking for paying jobs instead of capitalizing on generating information products.

Silver has some useful properties, but not as useful as paying taxes which is the value that the US dollar has. You have no understanding of what money is.

When China stops making cheap goods for us we will turn to Africa and bring those nations in to the industrialized world by using them for cheap labor. Meanwhile these countries will begin to develop and build their own wealth and some day they too will stop working for us cheaply. Then its a game of natural resources. Our land mass and population density seems to indicate that will work out favorably for us.

Television is the medium through which we watch video. Video is alive, broadcast television is on the way out as people increasingly move to "on demand" style services from either their cable providers or their YouTubes/Netflixes. I didn't mean we would no longer have "shows" or "videos" or "movies". I just meant television as we know it today with networks and channels is on the way out. Even the way people watch is completely different with DVRs.::shrug::
And lord knows its evil to offer phone service and not spend 100% of your on-hand cash for making it as good as possible. After all, better to keep no cash and risk a downturn or new competitor putting you out of business and shutting all of your towers off completely.
I'm not saying thats the case with AT&T but thats just an asshole line of thinking. "They have money for T-Mobile but I get an echo when I talk from my apartment!" is not evil or sociopathic.

For real. Where I'm at we had 2, 16, 19 (on a good day), 22 and 45. I'm pretty sure they can easily fit within the 25 channels TV would be left with.
