AFAIK, there are three methods that Linux users have to play WoW - thru Cedega, thru Wine, or thru Crossover Office. (YES I know that two of those are just "variations" of Wine).
I have read some of the Blizzard forums and apparently this happened after a Cedega hotfix.
Have any people been banned who only used Wine, or Crossover Office ? So far the only ones I have heard about were using Cedega, which is not "pure" Wine.
Just wondering if it is safe to assume that all websites requiring passwords use case-sensitive passwords.
My usual way to generate a password is to pick a name from an obscure novel, or a fantasy/sci-fi one (not a best-seller!) and put numbers or punctuation in somewhere other than the end. These are easy to remember, not normally in a dictionary, long, and have at least 2 of the 3 types of characters needed for a good password - capital letters, lower-case, and non-alphabetical.
They also are totally unrelated to my family or pets, plus I read so many books that even friends wouldn't know which book I chose to get a name from.
I work for a company that under NO circumstances provides more than the proverbial name, rank, serial number, and doesn't allow your supervisor or anyone else to give you written recommendations. Here's the rub: Most employers that I want to work for AND am qualified for, EXPECT a written recommendation. (Certain jobs in state civil service, for example). So what do I do in such a case? I think I may have lost a couple of jobs due to failure to provide a written recommendation above and beyond printouts of job evaluations (which is all I get).
