I pretty much agree with your comments. However, it's difficult to condemn these young men due to the fact that Katz's writing skills are, well, he doesn't appear to have any. The quality of this story is just over that of a college freshmen writing for WRT101. No research, no facts, no structure. The writing is so bad that it distracts from the story. Completely non-compelling. "Stuff" is not a word a non-fiction writer should use. And the story really isn't about these two kids anyway, it's about Katz.:-p I think it "sucks balls."
