  1. Repeat after me: on When Is Exchange Inappropriate For The Enterprise? · · Score: 1

"There is no reason to change the systems utilised currently for exchange of correspondence, or e-mail, as it were, as they are fully functional, robust, and most importantly, compliant with widely-accepted standards. We have yet to experience any problems with this system. By introducing a new system, we risk inconsistencies, service outages, and many other things associated with this sort of drastic change. Thus, I feel it is unnecessary, and possibly quite risky, to remove the current, working system that is in place. Thank you for coming eating at McDonald's, please drive through." If that doesn't work, have a talk with your boss, and subtly hint that a member of the opposing party slept with his wife.

  2. Re:Ignorant on The Cathedral And The Bizarre · · Score: 1

I certainly don't consider most PC/Mac users to be computer literate.

Most PC users? Uhm, in case you forget, most Linux distributions are for x86 machines, otherwise known as "PCs."

  3. Much of this is true, but... on The Cathedral And The Bizarre · · Score: 1

The thing he overlooks, is that the "average" computer user has no idea what Linux is, and doesn't care.

So, the average user doesn't want to be the tester, and the programmer. If you don't like doing that, just don't. Don't use Open Source software. Don't use Linux. Nobody really cares if you do or don't, nobody has a gun to your head.

  4. JP, the amazing egotistical fascist on Packet Storm Security site closed down · · Score: 1

I myself have personally spoken to JP. This man is compeletely insane. He threatened me with legal action for criticizing him in the IRC channel #hackphreak on Undernet, I suspect he caused my previous ISP to terminate my account due to so-called "IRC abuse," and he generally acts like a child when he doesn't get his way. At one point, he was the senior operator in #hackphreak, at which time he proceeded to ban entire ISPs, until he was removed from the channel for banning *!*@*. This man cannot accept any sort of criticism, however he deals it out constantly. He has criticized several other news/underground sites, repeatedly. But the thing which bothers me the most is how he claims to be a member of the "underground" community, while all he has served to do so far is to hurt it. Finally, as many others have said, the sad thing is JP has broken no laws. This man is devoid of morals, but there is really nothing anyone can do. The only thing I can do is suggest that you do not visit AntiOnline, and pray for JP to be hit by lightning. Linux is like a dog. It's fun to play with, but you wouldn't want to take it home.

  5. Space Marines on Doom Causes Kid to Kill · · Score: 1

One time, the space marine from doom came to visit me, and he gave me his gun, and told me to go shoot everyone at school because it would make that girl like me, and i pistolwhipped him and im like "you dumb bitch, quit slacking off and get back into the computer."
