We have about a dozen or so Network Technologies Inc's ST-4U switch boxes. This model supports up to 1600x1280 resolution -- without flicker, no less -- which at the time was better than anyone else out on the market that I evaluated. It also supports the use of a 3-button mouse. Ran kinda steep:
I'd find it somewhat interesting to know not only how many messages I'm going to see, but also how many I'm filtering out.
F'rinstance, set to +2, it tells me that there are only 8 comments [so far], but set to +1, it climbs to 54. I realize you there are space issues -- I'm not asking for a detailed histogram on the Preferences bar! -- but it'd be interesting [at a very high level] to see "N articles found out of X posts", where X is the total number of posts in the current thread. In some cases, as in this thread, one might want to change their threshold... in either direction, even.
In the preceding article about flexible keyboards, there was a reply by Anonymous Coward that included prices, and its score was set to 2. Haven't seen too many of those... -- Mark Conty mdc@isd.net
Ohhh, I thought the "500... hard limit reached" msg was originating from my employer's [stupid] firewall (on account of my having downloaded the Trailer2 and such!:-), but I'm logged in on my personal login, and I just got that msg when trying to get to this site.
{Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm not too well-versed on web admin stuff. Actually, to be honest, I'm pretty damned ignorant of it!:-}
Anyway, when you see that "500" msg, is it just a matter of trying again repeatedly, or does it mean that the server panicked* and there's no point in trying again for a while?
* I hate spelling that word that way. It really oughta be "paniced", but that doesn't look much better! *sigh* -- Mark Conty mdc@isd.net

Yeah, but I wonder if articles like this are red herrings to give hackers [and foreign powers?] the impression that the gov't is "really worried" about this, when there perhaps they feel that they really have no reason to worry. I mean, it would lend authenticity to the perceived "threat".
