  1. Why would he care about sco or anything like that? on A Law Show Set 25 Years from Now · · Score: 5, Insightful

Why would someone doing a tv show about law in the future really give a damn about the issues with SCO or anything about Open Source. Please people do you really think anyone out in the world but us (ie the slashdot crowd) gives a rat ass about these things?

Hell I live in las vegas and I don't even see the need to go. The one two years ago was the best one EVER thats when all the linux companies had booths and everyone had money to blow on t-shirts to hand out. My friends and I got friggen GHETTO on those booths we took so much stuff we had atleast 4 full bags between us. At one booth we took so much stuff the guy running it had to ask us to leave or he would call security. Ahh good times.

I use Astaro for my home network. I also use it anytime I am hired to setup a firewall solution for a small office (less than 500 users). It works GREAT I have it installed at one location that has 430 users and the firewall is running on a Pent 90 with 128megs of ram and it runs soooooo smooth.. has an uptime of 87 days last night I went to the company to check on it and perform updates. I highly recommand you all check it out. www.astaro.com

Oh ok.. see I was looking at the specs and it didn't list any network card.. then when you config your system it says for a network card you need to add +600 bucks. I thought that was crazy.

  9. Just buy a sunblade 100? HELL NO on No Solaris 9 for x86 · · Score: 3, Informative

I keep seeing people posting that if you really want to run solaris 9 that you should just buy a sunblade 100 for $995.. sure thats the base unit cost but just to add a network card on suns site you add $600
YES FOR A NETWORK CARD.. that network card better be one designed by god for that price... sun hardware is way to costly for a student that just wants to learn to use it.. not every school has sun boxes laying around for use.
