Whats to stop someone creating an army of super humans? Alls they gotta do is find the gene for strength. oh, and take out guilt, remorse, and emotion. Take up the IQ to oh... around 200 or so, and remove any imperfection they can find. remove any trace of free will, and oh, And while your at it, increase the rate of growth so they are mature at around age 12
yeah ok so mabye thats a long way off, but really, think about. first it was Nukes, then Chem/Bio weapons, then Linux:), now the weapon of mass desctruction is in our genes. we could find every imperfection, and remove it. Or cross Ebola with Influenza, and add a touch of Aids.
I spose it does have good points. we could eradicate every hereditary disease, imperfection, etc. but where would it end up? without VERY strict regulation consistant around the world, not just the US, UK, and AU, we could easily end up like <I>Gattaca</I>, or worse....
