Kids who are great at sports feels no need to practice because they are already better than their peers. Until they grow up and the other kids that trained diligently suddenly outperform them.

I think it is the same with intelligent people in school. They think they don't need to study.
TFA mentions that intelligence is connected to dedication and how interested you are in a subject. Well duh. Anyone can learn something if they really want to. Intelligence is, I think, about how quickly and how easy it is to understand something. I believe that the ability to understand something without (much) effort is the sign of intelligence.
I just turn off the 'Location' as it is called in the n900 settings menu. I don't need it. If I travel somewhere and want to use the gps, i turn it on again. It is not that difficult. When I am in another city or abroad, I want people to be able to track me, in case something happens to me.
Agree with you, when it comes to big news about politicians and rich people, media are trying to uncover scandals or even construct scandals when there is none to be uncovered. br>
But journalism is also the the stories about a kindergarden visiting a retirement home and those kind of cute articles. No social engineering there. Or the tech reports about about some new hardware. No social engineering there.
Highly intelligent people tend to think to much before they act, instead of just reacting immediately? I don't believe that myself, but I guess that could be an argument.
What else is new? I'm sure the percentage of hackers within a news corporation is bigger then the percentage of hackers in the world.
Social engineering is the main method. But I am fairly certain, though I have no proof of this, just a hunch (hey thats what a reporter would say!) that methods like eavesdropping and payoffs are far more normal than people think.
I agree fully with you, I was just trying to be sarcastic about the idea that internet should be a right since it has become so important to peoples lives, and that the difference between someone with internet access and someone without it causes great differences.
There are lots of things that are essential to modern living, but they are not human rights.
And, being a human right, doesn't automatically mean that it should be free (of cost).
Dogs, like sharks, can swim.
Dogs, like sharks, eat meat.
Dogs, like some sharks, give birth to live babies.
They both flip out for no reason and kill people.
Especially the ninja shark.
I'm glad we agree :)

Different tests use different standard deviations.

Thats why I made my disclaimer.
Thanks, I thought so too :-D

To clarify before an armada of journalists reply here: Yes I know that not EVERY journalist/reporter is bad news (pun intended).
What else is new? I'm sure the percentage of hackers within a news corporation is bigger then the percentage of hackers in the world.

Somewhere between 10$ and 15$ depending on the pub. I think the most common price is around 12$.
To give you an idea of norwegian prices:
Gas/petrol is about 2$ per liter.
A bottle of coca cola is between 2-3$.
Thats exactly what they want :)

I didn't say it's not a problem.
Many (most?) companies try to lie about the severity of the hack. Looks to me like they are saying it like it is. I like that.
At least they will destroy stuff in a green way :p
No, I didn't say that birds are like insects. I said that birds like insects.
How evil of them..
Would an accident to this power plant cause gigantic amounts of radiation?
