CO2 levels and temperatures were much higher for much of that period; continents have moved changing weather patterns as its done so; deserts ebbed and flowed; sea levels have gone up and down; coastlines have changed; the mediterranean has dried up and filled again -- but yes. The fact that some of the hottest temperature in the last 130 years have been in the past decade is PROOF that humans are changing the environment in ways that sun and tectonic forces cannot possibly compare.
