Please do not confuse the libertarian political philosopy with the corrupt, hypocritical Libertarian Party. Under the libertarian philosophy, a corporation has no better right to infringe on one's privacy than does a government.
The Libertarian Party, however, has no problem with authoritarianism as long as it is non-governmental. They have published supportive articles on the fascist Microsoft Corporation several times in LP News, just as an example.

Allchin has evidently studied the dead nazi propaganda minister Josef Goebbels' activities. He is defining the "american way" as depriving people of their rights of free expression and freedom of association, among others. microsoft's authoritarian business model is anything but free.

The FBI purblic relations people fed USAToday quite an article. Evidently they are too stupid to see the stupidity in their position: A gang is involved in acts of violent crime. They allegedly use encryption to conceal their actions, so the FBI targets the vast majority of decent people to deny them their rights to privacy. The FBI have been considered by some to be a lawless, terrorist organization unto themselves.
The purpose of outlawing child porno was to curtail the exploitation of children for making pornography. No the federal government is making a psychiatric diagnosis that animated porn with subjects that look under 18 could entice pedophiles. This is an irrelevant and nonsensical assertion brought to us by those who want us to give up our freedoms to deter a few irresponsible folks. The real perverts in this case are the prosecutors in the so-called Department of Justice.
