The US isn't post industrial, it just moved it's industry offshore. And child labor still exists in some of the new countries where the industry moved to.
In the future, after the oil and gas run out, you won't have electricity, so digital information is lost and CDs return to their natural state as drink coasters.

Most chages aren't recognised until after the event.
The Internet and the possibility it encourages for the free exchange of ideas on a global basis is a distinct event in the history of man.
We don't have to be coming from a Dark Age,
but we can always try and enlighten the world and cast eyes over dark thinking of which there is still a lot about.
