Ideas similar to this were suspected of being researched in South Africa during the 80s.

Don't be so sure that nobody would try to emulate this bacteria, there is a great deal of racial and religious hate out there.

Some people have said that anti-biotics can fight this, well if the bacteria made people of a certain race permanently infertile, an anti-biotic won't help in any way.

-- Kind of ironic that the boob tube is largely responsible for the unification of the PRC --

Why would it be ironic? that is exactly what TV has done throughout the rest of the world, created a move towards a single homogenous culture with small fluctuations which either quickly die out or explode across the entire society (example: pokemon)

I believe I heard that the playstation 2 uses unix for the development enviro, that should make it easy to port games to unix. I think everybody should wait for PSX2. I'm not giving M$ any money

  6. Phone Call > Snail Mail > email on Ask Slashdot: What can we do about UCITA? · · Score: 1

Most politically active people will tell you that email is pretty low in effectiveness when contacting a politician, snail mail is much better and a phone call is much better than that. A personal appearance is the best, but not too likely.

Personally I'm conflicted over UCITA. It's bad, but may be good in the long term by pushing more people towards opensource

  7. Demopublicans on Clinton creates group to "address unlawful conduct" on Net · · Score: 1

There's really no difference between the democrats and republicans. Did anybody look at the party statements in the last election booklet? Those two parties had the exect same statements almost to the word. That says it all...

Anybody who actually is tired of the way things are going should vote for an independant party. I don't care which one, but any independant party will be better than the Demopublicans, at least they have some sort of principles that they stand behind.

The Demopublican party line: "Show me the money"

  8. That's the definition of government on UCITA is passed · · Score: 1

People who stick there nose in where hey don't know what they're doing... that's government. We should definitely make our voices heard when this stuff comes up in our respective state legislatures.
