    Are there any American citizens (who understand what FISA is) that actually support it?

    These are the same people who agree with the suspension of "Habeus Corpus", removal of 4th amendment rights, and removal of 1st Amendment Rights, while limiting the power of the government via their Second Amendment Rights.

    My understanding is that relativity has been directly observed several times, whereas quantum theory is still just based on the interpretation of a series of controlled laboratory experiments, which mostly amounts to sifting through the wreckage of a high-energy collision and trying to derive the original state from the leftover pieces.

    Congratulations you have viewed Quantum Theory in action; that computer you used to post this message is solidly based on Quantum Mechanics. No Quantum mechanics, no CPU.

    Well if you are doing something illegal (like downloading music from bands under the RIAA), not that I condone it, but Usenet would be the best choice.

    First of all your provider probably doesn't throttle downloads. Second of all your IP doesn't get sent out to everyone and their mother, the only people that know it are your ISP and Usenet provider.

    tl;dr: Usenet binary groups FTW

    Forget downloading RIAA music, I don't even condone listening to RIAA music. Its their IP and I really wish they would do us a favor and keep it ALL to themselves.

    "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." I'm having a hard time believing that stupidity stretches this far. My guess is that the MSN block list is maintained automatically and somebody found a way to feed bad data into the system.

    I'm certain that stupidity stretches beyond imagination, or at least reason.

    However nothing prevents Malice and Stupidity from being one and the same.

    More to the point. If someone uses it "right" and hurts someone...

    How about suing the developer for negligence by not using due diligence in the correct use of the software?

    2 versions of RedHat? I count 3 RedHat descendants: CentOS, Fedora and Mandriva.

    CentOS from RedHat Enterprise

    Fedora, re-branded successor to RedHat.

    Mandriva re-branded Mandrake which was RedHat based.

    I don't disagree that they are evil. I think that the company has many heads. Some tell the truth and the others exploit that to their benefit at everybody else's detriment. However, I do not think that Novell is a bad company, though there are elements that I disagree with (Miguel, that means you).

    I'm not saying Novel is evil. I'm saying they're foolish for making a deal with the devil.

    There's a sucker at every table and if you don't know who the sucker is, guess who it is?

    Ballmer took over in 2000.     These are 5 very good reasons to keep Ballemer around.

    Every single point named has been good for the industry in keeping competition alive and technology moving forward. Unlike stagnation which occurs when there is a monopoly.

    So I really want to see Steve around for a few more years and keeping up the good work.

    I don't have a Mac, don't intend to buy one, yet I do care. Its about fucking time the fruit got support. Now when are they going to have support for AROS?

    Too many people have taken the deal with MS the wrong way. Novell really tried to make both camps happy by making Linux and Windows play nicely, but people seem to think that even trying to work with MS in any shape or form is a pact with Satan himself.

    I have worked with MS, I can assure you that I have never met a group of people so good a being nice to your face while twisting the knife they just put in your back.

    I have those exact same two books. I was thinking of emailing Darl a link to Amazon's pages for them. LK Forget emailing Daryl, email Novell's Attorney, or just send him a copy. Let him wave a copy in front of the judge and show that Daryl's is either a liar or doesn't know what he's talking about.

    I don't know which is better economically, and I don't care. What I do know is that the latter scenario describes a more interesting world that I'd be happier about living in - that means more to me than any reasonable amount of money.

    Economically for who?

    Buying Oracle licenses is better for Oracle economically. Not buying Oracle licenses where you don't need them and usig PostGreSQL is better for you economically.

    The point is intelligent design basically agrees with evolution but suggests that someone kick started it. There is no science which disagrees with this, I see no reason why this couldn't be taught (for what it is) as a theory in a classroom. Your thoughts?

    Other than claiming that an Intelligent Designer uses evolution and a mechanism, can the Intelligent designer be tested for or measured directly? Or how can we put the ID in a lab?

    Another question is who Designed the Intelligent Designer who kick started evolution?

    And as Darwin pointed out in the origin of a species (page 90 in the first edition):

    Evolution and the scientific method have come a long way since the 1800s.

    Until you solve this small kink, you can not prove that evolution is correct.

    This is a complete fallicy, there is plenty of other evidence. Second, there is no such thing as proof, only evidence. And there is plenty of that.

    It can't be taught as a theory in a scientific classroom because it it not a theory; it is a conclusion, a mechanism or a theology. But it is not a theory.

    Wouldn't "Label Overhead" also include the salaries of the people working for the label.

    "Marketing/promotion" why? don't they actually collect money from radio stations from playing their stuff? I guess its just another way for the Label to transfer money around so that they can keep more of the money.
