Third, to make firefox useful, you must bloat it up with addons. (evidenced by the 12+ addons I have loaded right now)

Fourth, someone's also pissed about chrome being so fast. (let's not argue, it's just way faster.)

Fifth, If I could load addons into chrome, I'd be a fanboy. (specifically adblock)

Sixth, make firefox able to use different javascript engines and perhaps different rendering engines, then we'll talk about tabs. (which, if you think about it is the main appeal of firefox. It's why people started switching in the first place.)

Seriously, I have to agree with you. My wife used Linux for a few years until her computer died. It helps that I'm a Linux admin. Instead of insulting vaginal-Americans with a name like "della" they should be focusing on things that women really need, like a computer that just works. Colors are great. The information is then provided to law enforcement without a warrant. I don't know the law, but this really sounds extra fishy to me. It sounds like the court wants to apply the law literally to a new technology.

first, intellectual property is not really adequately covered by copyright.

second, stopping people from making and selling counterfeit merchandise is really more of a police effort, not a treaty effort.

What will a treaty do to stop criminals from downloading music online and burning massive quantities of discs to be sold at market?

They are most likely using an ISP which does not monitor their activities. If they're not, they're either really dumb (not smart enough to have a large operation), or already using encryption (already have a large operation). Either way, the problem isn't in downloading.

    THE PROBLEM ISN'T IN DOWNLOADING!

The issue remains with manufacturing of counterfeit merchandise. That is what they intend to address with this treaty, right? Wrong.

You make a bigger bat, and they'll only make a smaller ball.

Think about it. They are writing some pretty broad-sweeping legislation (most likely penned directly by the MPAA/RIAA/IFPI). Politicians rarely write their own material these days. The only people involved are these industry pimps and politicians. Where are the consumer watch groups? Where are the organizations protecting the rights of the people?

    Strangely absent?

Diamond Joe Biden is delivering in a big way for these industries. His years of shilling and pandering are about to reach their pinnacle. I wonder how many music or film publishing conglomerates called Delaware home. Well, due to the laughably lax tax rules there, probably all of them.

Here's some news though. Joe, now you have to represent the nation, not just it's corporate entities. The nation consists of the people. The people are supposed to be the government, but apparently Mussolini's Fascism has arrived.

so, clearly you're not American. British, or Canadian perhaps. And here, at least for people with children, not you, if someone is a danger to our children, laws get changed. Now since you're pretty far removed from the situation, and I'm not since I happen to have married a teacher, you listen up. If this woman wasn't a teacher, and threatened her co-workers with scissors instead, she'd be out of a job instantly. Children can't choose to not be taught by a certain teacher. And when that teacher is moved to another school, parents are rarely informed of her history. And yes, any illness which can cause a person to threaten others through any adverse reaction to any medication proves them a danger to either their students or co-workers. So, they should either be removed from their work until they are better, or permanently if they won't get better.

As for your "emotional response" straw man, it's ludicrous. When people advocate for their children, it's always an emotional response. Because we're human. Unlike you, who seem to be interested only in proving to total strangers on the Internet how smart you think you are. Mess with someone's kid and see how rational they become.

She was combative, threatening children with scissors, and clearly not fit to teach.

Oh, and the class was a special education class.

The only safe thing to do, is not allow someone in the classroom that can possible have that reaction, regardless of medication.

There already was a safety issue. She threatened students with scissors. She ransacked her own classroom.

This was a case where, clearly, she wasn't fit for the classroom. (there are no labor laws that protect people who put children in danger where they work).

That's like saying that a pedophile can be a teacher because he's in treatment for his mental illness. No Fucking Way.

And no fucking way this lady should be anywhere near kids. The simple fact that she's on medication which can result in an episode like this disqualifies her for teaching in my book.
