If your company is not providing you the equipment to do the job properly, why should you provide it?
Anyone who wants to bring their own equipment in are just being divas. Your device *SHOULD NOT* work in the company. In fact, they *MUST NOT* in my environment. If IT is too slow, then management needs to fix it. Not let you introduce new issues.
I may loath and hate OutLook, but if the company tells me to use it, I use it.
You really need to learn to read and comprehend better. The break down prices are what it cost the manufacturers to buy them.
For some manufacturers that also make their own components, like Samsung, it may be cheaper, but that just means the component division made less money.
Seriously? FB doesn't have to comply within other countries' laws when they are operating there?
That's a new one. So, Samsung, Sony, Honda, Earl Grey, and other international companies based outside of US don't have to comply with US laws even when they operate in USA?
You are shitting me right? Talk about self indulgent pricks. If you want an unlocked S4, go buy it from Google's Play Store. Only $650 or so.
The reason cell companies have $200 S4 is because they're fronting the money for it, and they want to make it back up (plus a nice multiplier, obviously) over the next 2 years. That is why your data plans are also so expensive, because they know once they've locked you in, you can't move for 2 years.
And in 2 years, they front another $400 for you, so that you can get the S6 for $200. And they continue to milk you.
But make no mistake about it - the S4 does *NOT* cost $150, and only a fucking moron thinks it does.
You really think the DoD is telling Apple - come on, bring some manufacturing back to USA, and we will list your phone as one of the approved phones!!!
And even if I don't give anything to charity means that I cannot criticize him for being an asshole and for stealing billions, and trying to use that to clean up his reputation?
So, if I steal a dollar, and give it away, I should go to jail.
But if I steal billions, and then proceed to give that away, I should be held in awe?
The only reason he started doing this was because his wife convinced him that he needed to leave a legacy behind. That once he started doing it, he embraced it is not a problem, but his "doing good" is still laced with problems. For example, the Gates Foundation is now trying to monopolize donations. They want to channel all donations through them, and take a small % of the donations. And manage the donors. For some reason, all the major foundations hate that idea, especially the part where they give up the donors to the Gates Foundation. Gee, I wonder where that behavior came from.
1) He is part of the shareholders (12% to 20% ownership - large chunk of cash right there) 2) You just answered your own question. He's already selling off Accounts Receivables.
Uh... You *do* realize that pf is OpenBSD native code? That they are constantly hacking on? They wrote it from ground up, why would they be importing *anything*?
Are you perhaps thinking about Darren Reed's ipf which they cut out years ago, due to Darren's stupid licensing (free and net bsd can change and patch ipf code, but OpenBSD is banned from patching it, nyah nyah).
Do you understand what SMTP is? Do you understand that Exchange is *NON-SMTP*? Do you understand that these alternate email servers are *SMTP* email servers?
Are you really that stupid or do you just like to troll on the Internet?
Apple claims they had no part in the shady deal, so what fucking law did they break?
If you have evidence of this, the DoJ would love to see it.
Apple's point was that they had no deal at all in the shady part, the publishers colluded among themselves.
You do realize that Amazon is paying $12.99 for new ebooks, and selling them at $9.99 right?
So... what changed now that Apple has a deal with the publishers to sell the book for $12.99 and gets 30% of it?
Can amazon stop selling it at $9.99 regardless of what they paid for it? Or did something else change?
Why? What's the security risk with an Apple TV? Especially if it's set up on the guest network that doesn't touch anything inside the network?
Please don't try to bring sense and logic into slashdot.
We prefer the "lose money per device but make it up on volume" kind of logic.
Don't make me revoke your slashdot id.
Have you even seen the specs on the S4 mini, or do you just blindly go "S4 Mini - must be good"?!
Jesus, what a fanboy.

Glad to hear that.
You're the Mucking Foron of the day.

You do realize Apple was one of first, if not the first with a docking station years and years ago, right?
You really think the DoD is telling Apple - come on, bring some manufacturing back to USA, and we will list your phone as one of the approved phones!!!
You're a bigger moron than I thought possible.
And this 5% to 10% will not die from this thing called life...?
"Survival" means won't die from it.
Are you sure this 6% will live for ever?
And even if I don't give anything to charity means that I cannot criticize him for being an asshole and for stealing billions, and trying to use that to clean up his reputation?
What's the survival rate for this thing called life anyway?
So, if I steal a dollar, and give it away, I should go to jail.
But if I steal billions, and then proceed to give that away, I should be held in awe?

You have a truly fucked up perspective.
1) He is part of the shareholders (12% to 20% ownership - large chunk of cash right there)
2) You just answered your own question. He's already selling off Accounts Receivables.
Show me a *NON-PREPAID*, 2 year contract plan, with an iPhone for $199, and $50/month. In USA.
Thanks.
Are people really that stupid? There are plenty of comparisons showing how much money you save by going prepaid vs subsidized phone.
That means the extra money is going into the carriers' pocket.
That extra money means they're losing money...?! [shakes head at state of math among reporters]

hahahahahaha. You actually believe all major development projects go through reviews and re-reviews? Hahahhahaha
Not double checking your work by having someone else validate it? That's not stupid? Then what is?
