2,000 years enough? *whisper, whisper*

Does anyone else think that the 2,000 year time lapse between the ferris wheel crashing down and the later discovery of David was too short? Could an ice age come about so quickly? I imagine 2,000 years ago that Earth looked pretty much as it did now.
Also, did enough time pass for the aliens/robots to do all that discovering, experimenting, and advancement?
Oh, and yes... I do know it was FICTION.
Of course, if you walk out of the theater when David jumps off the building, none of this really matters.
One more thing. If this kid whispers his way through one more role, I think it will be the death of his career. No matter how much talent he has, I for one, am going to start getting really annoyed.
Okay, this idea has a LONG way to go. The Amiga community that I was a part of was about users. The Amiga users loved the machine and eachother. They would gather together and marvel over what it could do.
Am I supposed to believe that all former Amiga users are now coders that want to come home at night and try to make a new idea work? Or are these coders the only Amiga users that are willing to drop some cash on something that says 'Amiga' on it? So far, there is nothing here for the consumer.
I have a bad feeling that this $99 SDK will be as far as it's going this time.
That 'Wow!' impression that they are trying to recapture is not going to happen this time. I used to be able to boot up my Amiga and impress any member of my family, anyone from work or school. Only people geeked out on code and nostalgia will want to pay attention to this.
Sorry Amiga, come back with a product next time.
The c_vore system is using a person's identity to key against raw internet traffic. As mentioned, this is not an echelon type system where they look for keywords that are likely to provide information regarding crimes or terrorism. This kind of filtering can only be done when there are foreigners involved anyway. Americans, at least for now, are protected by some pretty good oversight. They go to the ISP where that individual has an account and start from there? Wow, that sounds pretty good to me. It's alot better than them trying to filter all content all over the internet (impossible). I think this time the government is actually doing it right. Going to the ISP where the person's email account is at even further reduces the likelyhood that the will inadvertantly intercept your email. They use this less than 100 times a year? Wait... How many ISPs are there? Which one does the criminal or suspected criminal use? Is it the same as your ISP? Did you email the criminal? Why did you email the criminal? Don't be the criminal... don't email the criminal. Wait until your good buddy the ciminal is in the clear. If you commit a crime are suspected of it, your privacy will be violated. I guarantee it. Whether you know about it or not and no matter what technology you use. If you are falsely accused it's a real bummer. Just happened to me recently.
