If it was all that great of a movie, it wouldn't come on Comedy Central in the middle of the night, right after "Earth Girls are Easy".

I'm not exactly sure what you're accusing me of, but I firmly believe that Dungeons & Dragons is an evil game that is designed to immerse insecure people who probably don't have many friends into a fantasy world and cause them to lose their grip on reality. This has been documented numerous times. Dungeons & Dragons is a pox upon the geek subculture.

I would consider it to be satire. Or an attempt at comedy. It's certainly not a good fantasy movie.

"If you use DeCSS to crack your DVD's to play under linux, you have commited a crime by circumventing the encryption on the disk. Is that wrong?"

In a sense, Yes. Just because *you* personally may not use DeCSS to make illegal copies of DVD's, The fact that DeCSS was created in the first place, and the fact that you are helping to spread it across the Internet is wrong. The only reason why there are no software DVD players under Linux is because of you open-source zealots. If, for once, you could release software without releasing the source code for everyone to copy, I'm sure there would be several perfectly legitimate (and legal) Linux DVD programs by now.

From my understanding of the proposed monitoring system in Britain, all electronic communications travelling across the Internet will be archived. I don't think the intention was for the government to read messages sent to my girlfriend. The goal of this project is to help prevent terrorism and provide evidence needed to convict hackers/criminals.

It seems to me that for most people, this should not even be an issue. If you aren't doing anything wrong, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. The only people who need to use encryption are those who have something to hide. Maybe we should be snooping around in these people's inboxes
