I'd find it hard to believe that with the CORBA specification being first agreed upon in 1991 that there wasn't some application built with it in a method similar to the one being discussed above.

CPU design has been primarily an engineering field since its inception, though as things advance further and further, problems such as decreasing physical size become increasingly important. How long do think before Moore's law regarding processor speed advancement becomes unsustainable due to fundamental problems of particle physics? Do you feel CPU design will become more of a physicist's job instead of an engineer's? Signed, A Fellow Wheaton High School(s) Alum
Exchange is absolutely unusable in your situation unless you have unlimited financial resources for 5 times as many machines, corresponding sysadmins, and here's the kicker: licenses. You'd have to license both NT Server and Exchange server for 25,000 users [the nt server is a little different, but exchange def. the 25k ]. It was prohibitively expensive for a 50 person insurance office, so it would kill your operation. I setup a linux box for them a year ago, and haven't touched it but three times since, all b/c of extended power outages...
I've read a few times, but don't have the URL, that says George Lucas doesn't want anybody renting out entire theaters for TPM, and he's threatened to limit distribution to those theaters that do allow entire theaters to be rented out. Here in Austin, TX, many theaters are not allowing reservations for the theaters for TPM, no matter who you are... the sames ones we've rented multiple theaters from many times in the past few montsh...
