> The real problem with spam is that it steals bandwidth
Hmmm I would argue that the real problem with spam is that it steals my time. Bandwidth is cheap. My time isnt, and I dont like it being wasted. So a client site spam filter is just fine with me:)
I find that this in my.procmailrc filters out 99% of my spam. I only get about 2 or 3 spams a week now.

This means that only mail that is either Directly addressed to me OR from someone at the same company gets into my inbox. Everything else is spam.
The only mails that occasionaly end up mistakenly in the spam folder are when someone from outside the company Bcc's me, but this happens very infrequently, so checking the spam folder once every few days is enough.

Its $65 membership. Considering most people reading this are well paid 'IT professionals', $65 is hardly a lot to ask. I've often considered joining the EFF, every time I see this sort of story. And this time I've done it. How many hours work is $65 ? Think about it. think what the EFF could do if 1 person in 10 reading this joined. So do it, before its too late.
Why is this Fun Research. There has been a major problem with rabbits overrunning Australia, when this non native species was introduced into the country from europe. What is going to happen when (not if) these Giant mice escape.
Its good to see that BT are still as arrogant as ever, claiming a world first ! These things have existed in france for a while...but the price per minute is still stupidly expensive
