RMS claiming that he is the father of open source is like like Linus Torvalds claiming he is the father of Linux.
In all actuality Linus is the father of Linux, he created it, he nurtured it for it's first years of life.
My father was my creator (at least half of it) and he nutured me for many years, although other people have shaped my opinions and such. Does this remove his fatherly status, the fact that he hasn't done everything that makes me who I am?
but they do not respond the way they should. Instead of a personal e-mail, written by them to you, outlining the reasons they think these bills are a good idea. And showing that many other constituents also think so.
Instead they (unfortunatly) choose to try to change our minds by scare tactics. Such as the recent statements released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which unfortunatly scare many citezens into caring less about freedom and safety.
Freedom is protection from unreasonable power, while safety is protection from unreasonable people.
Actually, I did this in the past in linux. The MSN protocol does nothing but adds a... excuse me if i'm wrong... 'msn/' (no quotes), infront of the username (and possibly password). Excuse the vaugeness and perhaps out-of-dateness of this information, as I switched to DSL years ago. But I certainly remember something of the sort, and being able to pull it off.
My father who is a computer programmer has the beta version of.NET right next to our computer. What exactly is all the non-existant talk? I meen, the beta version barely works, but it does exist.

But what would have even made this better would have been if the only game he could play on his PS would have been Electric Boy Nasubi. That way he couldn't escape this small personal hell. ---------------------------------
