Timbuk2 bags are one step up from a GAP messenger bag and its ilk. Crappy padding, so-so materials and no internal suspension. Carry anything heavy for any length of time and you will have severe shoulder/back/collarbone problems. If you want a real messenger bag, check out PAC Designs. Super padding, an array of straps to keep everything where it should be and nearly indestructable (and waterproof) materials make one kickass bag. Mine survived seven years of messengering in lovely tropical Toronto, three years at university and a year and half in Ecuador. It is still going strong. And you can fit a two-four in it:). I have a huge model, but you can get something the right size for whatever you need. And I am sure if you emailed her, Pat would make one to your custom specifications.

stable!?! has gnome2 even made it in there yet;)? the version i have (2.1.5) is in unstable. maybe you are using the gnome1.4 version? anyway here is a screenshot of what i am talking about. i believe there are several other operations you can perform in batch mode as well.

hmm, have you tried gthumb? you can do all this without mucking about with scripts. select files you want to rotate (from the nice thumbnail view). click the "rotate" button. click "apply to all" in the rotate dialog that pops up. click ok. not too hard;). gthumb homepage i use it all the time, i love it, it is much better than eye of gnome.
This is the only half-decent point of jwz's rant (not review). xine, mplayer and xmms skins are generally hard to read (much like jwz's site) and do not integrate with the desktop very well. you can use sinek for xine, which is the gtk interface.
or you can use totem, which is a gnome2 movie player. it uses the xine libs and kicks ass. looks very nice and plays almost anything.
here is a screenshot
and here is the url
i think "hissy fit" is the word jwz is looking for rather than rant. if this guy is such a mad coder, why doesn't he do something instead of crying about it? i am sure he could whip an all-singing all-dancing media player in no time at all. lol, right....
greg egan. every book of his i have read has made my brain hurt severely. which is a good thing;-). he usually starts of with one mindblowing idea and just when you kinda get a grip on that, he smacks you upside the head with another. a couple of my favourites are "permutation city" and "diaspora". you can check out some of his short stories (and cool applets he has written to demonstrate the concepts from his books) here: greg egan awesome writer
'event horizon' good? lol, has to be one of the worst movies (not just sf movies) of all time. non-sensical plot, excessive gore (shoulda spent that money on a good writer), lame set design and a total lack of "science".
the reason that the sp was released later than the mp is that;
a) the two were developed by two different companies (nerve and grey matter).
b) there is only 1 person (ttimo) working on the linux port and multiplayer was the priority.
id really had nothing to do with the process except develop the engine. to say rtcw is an id game is incorrect.

i think this guy has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. of course people wouldn't be having these problems if they were running linux:)
No, PAC bags are the best.

you don't want to leave anything out of the kernel? select "y" for every option ;).
the chefs are given a list of five ingredient a week before the show. one of these is the 'secret' ingredient. they can then prepare accordingly.
