Major Git Problem: Limited Support for Windows

We were evaluating a source control system for my company, and we would have probably chosen Git but the sole major complaint was its limited support for Windows. When Windows users go to install Git on the main web site and are told that it's a beta version, it makes them feel like second class citizens in the Git world. Given that 80% of the desktop market is Windows, if I were on the Git development team and I were interested in attracting more users, I would definitely make Windows support a top priority.
